Poll Addendum

The operational definition of "first clear memory" is a memory that you can "see" in your mind. The image must be vivid enough to be describable. It can be a very short period of time, like a clear memory of your mother's face the first time she yelled at you or something.

Right, but how do you know that memory is YOUR memory and not something that's been described to you over and over again by friends of family members. Sometimes I'm unable to separate what I am actually able to recall and what things I know simply because they are a part of my family's oral history.

So what if I were blind my whole life? Would I never have a clear memory?
